A very folky and charming needlework picture depicting the finding of Moses, with little Moses being particularly endearing.
English, late 17th-early 18th c.
In excellent color and condition. Period yellow pine frame and early backboard.

Diminutive Country Cupboard

A simple but sophisticated country cupboard with high beautifully arched base and picture frame molding surrounding the entire front with two shelves in the interior.
New Jersey, c. 1820.
Came out of the original house in New Jersey.
In old taupe paint over the original salmon.

Three Very Fine Goffering Irons

Probably the earliest of the group; wrought iron in a great design. 9 1/4” h. SOLD.

While it’s difficult to find agreement among scholars on both precise origin and age, these are likely British/Welsh and 18th-early 19th c.

Very Fine and Rare Courting Mirror

America, prob. CT,  and northern Europe, 2nd half 18th c.
An unusually sophisticated courting mirror with carved broken-arch pediment and scalloped bottom surrounding reverse-painted glass. The elaborate cherry carved frame appears to have been made here to encase a simple European courting mirror.
In excellent condition, missing two tiny pieces of glass from interior eglomise frame.
19 ½” h. x 13” w.
