A massive, pear-shaped Westerwald jug with pewter lid. Effusively decorated with hearts and tendrils with three different flowers.
In fine condition, with small firing fault on one side of body.

A massive, pear-shaped Westerwald jug with pewter lid. Effusively decorated with hearts and tendrils with three different flowers.

A fine 17th c. Westerwald tankard dated 1667. Decorated in blue and manganese, the central frieze depicts merrymaking musicians and dancers, the upper and lower bands hearts and diamonds.
Pewter lid with a later inscription “Michael Polle 1707”.
In mint condition.
